Two October gatherings: rest, and kitchen medicine

The weekly schedule is the heartbeat of the studio. These nights and afternoons are something else — a free women's lounge this Saturday, and a hands-on herbal workshop later in the month. Both are open for reservation now.

A quiet, low-lit studio prepared for rest and sound at Half Pigeon Yoga

Special events at Half Pigeon are not extra classes squeezed onto the weekly board. They are evenings and afternoons with a guest facilitator, a clear intention, and a smaller room. October holds two of them. Reserve on the workshops page — spaces are limited, especially for the free night.

The Goddess Lounge with Aly Dugas

Saturday, October 3 · 7:30–9:00 PM · Free · Women

The studio turns into a candlelit, red-light sanctuary for women to rest, receive, and reconnect. Aly Dugas — a former OBGYN nurse practitioner, now a medicine woman — holds the room as an open lounge, not a circle that asks you to perform a practice. You choose what you need in the moment. That might be a sacred station, a rejuvenation ritual, hands-on energy healing, conversation, or curling up and doing nothing at all.

It is for women who want nourishment and rest, a women's-only space for solitude or sisterhood, and especially for anyone who spends the week tending other people. Come if you are moving through stress, overwhelm, depletion, grief, or a transition, or if you want herbal and energetic support for a changing body.

  • •The room. Circadian-supportive red light, sound healing, high-vibrational music, and cozy places to rest or connect.
  • •What you can receive. Consensual Reiki, nurturing touch, and energy medicine. Handcrafted teas, tinctures, elixirs, and anointing oils. Sacred stations for cleansing, intention, astrology, divination, body tending, journal inquiry, and sister connection.
  • •Feminine wellness allies. Herbal tonics are there for menstruation, PMS, conception, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, sleep, stress, and depletion — support, not a treatment plan.

So often, the last thing we need is another thing we are supposed to do.

Because the night is free, spots are limited — reserve ahead. Bring whatever makes you feel cozy, and anything meaningful you want on the community altar. This is opening night, so a few moments may be photographed or filmed. You can opt out at any time and still stay for the whole evening. We are upstairs at 631 4th St N, Suite 200.

Seasonal Herbalism with Lauren Marienski

Saturday, October 24 · 1:00–3:00 PM

As cold and flu season comes in, this two-hour workshop is kitchen medicine: familiar herbs and everyday ingredients traditionally used when the body meets a seasonal illness. Lauren Marienski teaches their traditional uses, how people have reached for them around common acute symptoms, and simple ways to turn them into remedies you can make at home.

You will practice foundational medicine-making skills and approachable preparations meant to help you feel more confident caring for yourself and your family. You leave with a detailed handout — seasonal herbs, practical guidance, and recipes — plus a prepared herbal remedy and the start of a home apothecary. Come learn, make, and gather. Reserve your seat on the workshops page.

How these differ from a weekly class

Flow, Power, Yin, sound baths, and prenatal yoga stay on the weekly schedule, and you can still start with the $59 21-Day Unlimited Intro. Workshops and lounges are separate: a guest teacher, a set afternoon or evening, and a signup of their own. If a date passes, the same page is where the next one will appear.

Reserve before the room fills

The Goddess Lounge is free and limited. The herbal workshop is two hours, hands-on, and small on purpose.
